Painting Steps
Basecoat Application
- • Prime the miniature in black.
- • Apply Orruk Flesh to all exposed skin areas.
- • Basecoat the armor panels with Khorne Red .
- • Paint the weapons and metal studs with Leadbelcher .
- • Use Steel Legion Drab for the trousers and cloth wraps.
Shading and Depth
- • Apply Biel-Tan Green over the skin to define muscle definition.
- • Wash all armor and leather parts with Agrax Earthshade for a dirty, worn look.
- • Apply Nuln Oil to the metallic weapons to enhance mechanical recesses.
Layering and Highlighting
- • Layer the muscles with Orruk Flesh , then highlight prominent points with Ogryn Camo .
- • Brighten the armor with Mephiston Red on upper surfaces.
- • Edge highlight the sharpest armor edges with Evil Sunz Scarlet .
- • Drybrush the edges of the weapons with Ironbreaker to simulate chipped metal.
Final Details and Weathering
- • Apply small dots of Rhinox Hide inside metallic highlights to create rust or deep scratches.
- • Use a sponge to apply Blood for the Blood God to the teeth of the chainswords and surrounding armor.
- • Paint the eyes with a tiny dot of Evil Sunz Scarlet to make them pop.
