Painting the Orc Rider

Weathered Bionics and Weapons

  • Basecoat all mechanical parts, the axe, and armor plates with Leadbelcher (Metallic).
  • Wash the metal heavily with Nuln Oil (Wash) for an oily, used look.
  • Drybrush Ryza Rust (Effects) onto joints and edges of the metal to simulate oxidation.

Bones and Teeth

  • Paint all skulls, horns, and teeth with Zandri Dust (Standard).
  • Shade with Seraphim Sepia (Wash) focusing on the roots of the teeth and cracks in the bone.
  • Edge highlight the tips with Screaming Skull (Standard).

Details and Base

  • Paint the mushrooms with Kantor Blue (Standard) and dot them with Lothern Blue (Standard).
  • Drybrush the rocky base with Dawnstone or a light grey over Abaddon Black (Standard).
  • Apply Blood for the Blood God #611016 (Effects) sparingly on the axe blades and the beast's mouth.
