Painting Steps
Preparation and Priming
- • Prime the entire model with Chaos Black to provide a solid base for the metallics and dark recesses.
- • Apply a light zenithal spray of White Scar to the upper areas of the armor to help the pink tones pop later.
Painting the Pink Armor
- • Apply two thin coats of Screamer Pink over all armor panels.
- • Apply Carroburg Crimson into the recesses and around the trim for depth.
- • Layer Pink Horror over the raised surfaces, leaving the base color in the shadows.
- • Edge highlight all sharp corners with Emperor's Children .
Mechanical Frame and Metallic Limbs
- • Basecoat all metallic parts, including the large claws and back vents, with Leadbelcher .
- • Wash all metallic areas generously with Nuln Oil to define the mechanical details.
- • Drybrush Ironbreaker over the claws and vents to restore the metal shine.
- • Apply a final spot highlight of Stormhost Silver on the very sharpest edges and points.
The Organic Central Body
- • Apply Magos Purple over a light grey or white base on the fleshy parts under the main hull.
- • Layer the folds of the skin with Dechala Lilac , focusing on the most prominent ridges.
- • Highlight the tips of the muscle fibers with Fulgrim Pink for a sickly, translucent effect.
The Necrotic Energy Glow
- • Paint the central core and the eyes with White Scar as a base.
- • Apply Warpstone Glow around the outer edges of the core.
- • Layer Moot Green closer to the center of the light source.
- • Glaze the entire core and the eye sockets with Tesseract Glow to create the luminous green effect.
Final Details and Base
- • Paint cables with Abaddon Black and highlight with Eshin Grey .
- • Base the model with Mechanicus Standard Grey , wash with Agrax Earthshade , and drybrush with Dawnstone for an industrial look.
